AMHS-HPE Becomes CMHA HPE

Today, we’re pleased to officially announce that Addictions and Mental Health Services – Hastings Prince Edward (AMHS-HPE) is now Canadian Mental Health Association Hastings Prince Edward Addictions and Mental Health Services (CMHA HPE). We’re proud to recognize such an important milestone in the history of addictions and mental health services in our region.

Becoming part of the CMHA family will enable staff and clients alike to access more resources, supports and programs. For our part, CMHA HPE brings its voice and expertise to the CMHA network while retaining autonomy over the programs and supports we offer to the community.

Our name is new, but our services remain unchanged. Clients and their families will continue to receive the same high-quality supports from the same skilled and considerate staff.

We’re delighted to be part of the CMHA family, and we look forward to working with our partners to provide the Hastings Prince Edward area with the best possible addictions and mental health services.

“As the newest member of the CMHA family, we’re looking forward to bringing new opportunities into our community,” said CMHA HPE CEO Jennifer Keilty-Friesen. “Although we have a new name, our services across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties remain unchanged. Looking forward, our services stand only to improve as a result of being part of the CMHA network.”

By joining CMHA Ontario, local clients and their families will have access to more resources, supports, and programs. The organization can now offer CMHA Ontario provincial programs like  Mental Health Works, Talk Today, Resilient Minds and Agriculture Wellness Ontario to members of our community.

“Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for our agency as we continue to serve the addictions and mental health care needs of the communities in our region” said CMHA HPE Board Chair Orlana Bourgoin. “We are proud to become a CMHA branch and look forward to collaborating with our CMHA colleagues to continue to address addictions and mental health needs of our community.”

“We are delighted to welcome CMHA HPE to the CMHA branch network in Ontario,” said CMHA Ontario CEO Camille Quenneville. “This organization is a well-established leader in the community and already brings a wealth of knowledge and significant expertise to our network. We look forward exploring opportunities for collaboration and innovation.”
